Writers group starts at NY Mills library

The New York Mills Public Library is seeking writers interested in a newly formed writers group, where members can meet other writers to find support, refine skills and gain confidence.

The first four writers group gatherings will be led by writer and editor Tim Rundquist on Saturdays, April 2, 16, 30 and May 14 from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants should bring writing materials and are encouraged to attend all four meetings. Following the structured introductory sessions, the group will continue to meet independently if members are interested.

This newly established writers group is free to writers of all levels and is sponsored by Viking Library System, Lake Region Writers Network and the NY Mills Public Library. The project is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.

The library is located at 30 Main Ave. N. in NY Mills and can be reached at 218-385-2436 or

Writers groups in Fergus Falls and Elbow Lake are also starting up. For more information on dates and locations, call Gail Nordstrom at Viking Library System at 218-739-5286.
