The New York Mills Marching Eagles kicked off its new fundraising campaign with a concert and barbeque on June 10. The band was selected to represent Minnesota in the 2012 National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on July 4, 2012. Leading up to that date, the program has set a goal of raising $100,000 to replace band uniforms and instruments. Future fundraising events will likely be scheduled throughout the summer.
