A Park Rapids man was seriously injured in a crash on Highway 87 in Becker County on June 29.

According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, Aloyus Anfinson, age 79, swerved to avoid another vehicle as it attempted to make a U-turn, but was struck by the other vehicle, entered the ditch and hit a building.

The driver of the other vehicle, 40-year-old Lori Hanson of Park Rapids, was not injured. The three other occupants in her vehicle were also unharmed.

The accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m., west of County Road 41.
