Semi goes in ditch after driver falls asleep

The driver of a semi-truck escaped injury after falling asleep at the wheel and going into the ditch on Highway 10 near Perham on Tuesday.

According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department, the one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:25 a.m. The semi rolled into the ditch off the highway’s west-bound lane, near the intersection with Highway 228, northwest of Perham.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Perham Fire Department and other emergency responders assisted at the scene.
