Van carrying 15 people rolls on Minnesota freeway; 13 ejected from vehicle

WORTHINGTON, Minn. - A van carrying 15 people rolled over on an icy freeway in southwestern Minnesota early Thursday morning, the State Patrol reported. Thirteen of those people were ejected from the vehicle.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 1:40 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lane of Interstate 90 near Worthington.

Altayeb Arbab-Azzein, 29, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was the driver of the Chevrolet Express van. He suffered non life threatening injuries.

The names and conditions of the passengers are not known at this time.

According to the report, Arbab-Azzein lost control on the icy roadway, entered the median and rolled the vehicle.

The Worthington Police Department, Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Worthington Fire Department, Worthington Ambulance and Adrian Ambulance responded to the scene.
