UPDATED: Two hurt in crash near Perham

Two Perham residents were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at Highway 108 and Harvest Road near Perham.

Kylee R. Wrobleski, 18, of Perham, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the State Patrol. The State Patrol originally reported that she had suffered no apparent injuries. Wrobleski was the driver of one of the vehicles. She remains in the intensive care unit at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, according to family.

Also injured was Cammy S. Cummings, 16, of Perham, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. She was a passenger in a 2006 Chevy Silverado pickup truck driven by Jacob K. Karst, 16, of Osage. He suffered no apparent injuries in the crash, which severely damaged both vehicles.

The accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. when a westbound 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue driven by Wrobleski slowed on Highway 108 to make a left turn into a driveway near Harvest Road. As the car slowed, the pickup truck tried to pass it on the left and the two vehicles collided, with the truck hitting the car’s driver-side door.

Other passengers in the car were Aubrey L. Berghorst, 7, and Neveah G. Berghorst, 6, both of Perham. They suffered no apparent injuries, according to the State Patrol. The second passenger in the pickup truck was Madison N. Wiese, 17, of Dent, who suffered no apparent injuries.

The sideswipe crash occurred on dry two-lane blacktop. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office and Perham Police Department assisted at the scene. Allen’s Towing handled both vehicles.
