Two injured in crash near Fergus Falls

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – Two people were injured when an SUV rear-ended a car about 11 a.m. Sunday on Highway 59 north of Fergus Falls, the State Patrol reported.


Hannah R. Deslauriers, 18, of Currie, the driver of a 2004 Chevy Impala, was slowing for traffic on Highway 59 at 270th St., when her vehicle was rear-ended by a 2004 GMC Jimmy. The Jimmy was driven by Kim M. Bechard, 40, of Fergus Falls, the Patrol reported.

Bechard suffered a non-life-threatening injury, as did one of the passengers in the car, Jessica R. Deruyck, 19, of Tracy, the Patrol reported.

Deslauriers and two other passengers in her car, Destiny R. Vosberg, 20, and Shauna L. Bjorklund, 20, both of Tracy, did not appear to be injured, the Patrol reported.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the crash.
