One hurt after motorcycle runs off road
A 61-year-old woman was injured Monday, June 3, after losing control of the Suzuki motorcycle she was driving and running off the road.
According to reports, the motorcycle, driven by Barbara Ann Mickelson, of Fargo, was westbound on Highway 10, near New York Mills, when Mickelson lost control and left the roadway at approximately 5:30 p.m.
After hitting the rumble strips on the side of the road, the motorcycle entered the ditch and tipped onto its side.
Mickelson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was transported to Sanford Health in Perham for non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol was not believed to be a contributing factor to the crash, which occurred on dry pavement.
