A 16-year-old pedestrian was injured while attempting to cross the street at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Third Street in Henning Sunday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, Vincent Gabriel Rose, of Henning, had just exited a vehicle across the street from his home and was crossing the street back to his residence when he was stuck by a vehicle. Gabriel had stopped for a vehicle in the westbound lane, but as he crossed into the eastbound lane, he was hit by a 2011 Chrysler 200, driven by Alice Jean Olson, 36, of Vining.
Rose sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Tri-county Medical Center in Wadena for treatment.
According to the report, alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, which occurred on dry pavement.
