Driver loses control on ice

A Frazee woman loses control of her vehicle on Highway 10, spins into oncoming traffic and pushs vehicles across frontage road and into ditch.

A 30-year-old Frazee woman received a minor injury as a result of an accident caused by treacherous road conditions Monday afternoon.

Rebekah Renee Ramirez was driving westbound on Highway 10 in Detroit Lakes when she passed some vehicles, lost control and crossed the concrete median, according to the Detroit Lakes Police Department.

Ramirez, driving a 1999 Chevrolet, then ended up in the driving lane on Highway 10 going eastbound and hit a 1997 Pontiac driven by Anthony Victor Masloski, 24, of Perham.

Ramirez spun several time while sliding onto the shoulder, across the frontage road near Petro Plus and ended up against a fence on the south side of the road.

She was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health. Masloski was not transported, according to the accident report.
