Four injured in collision involving tanker truck outside Wadena
Four people were hurt in a crash Thurday, Aug. 4 just outside Wadena.
Around 7:30 p.m., a 1995 Oldsmobile 88 Royale car driven by Ronnie Dale Lannes, 49, of Deer Creek, collided with a 1997 Freightliner Tanker Truck driven by Curtis C. Howard, 57, of Menahga, said the Minnesota State Patrol.
Both Lannes and Howard were injured in the crash, as were two passengers: Jeremy R. Croskrey, 28, of Menahga, and Damon I. Howard, 12, of Menahga. The patrol described all four injuries as non-life-threatening.
The patrol said Lannes failed to yield to the tanker truck, which then drove over the hood of Lannes's Oldsmobile, then rolled on the highway, coming to rest in the south ditch of Minnesota Highway 29, about one mile south of Wadena.
The Wadena County Sheriff's Department and Wadena Police Department also assisted at the scene.
