Two killed in crash south of Fergus Falls

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident that caused the death of two people south of Fergus Falls on June 22.

Deputies, along with the Fergus Falls Police Department and State Patrol, responded to the one-vehicle crash in the 16,000 block of 215th Avenue. Upon arrival, a silver SUV was found on its roof and heavily damaged after it went off the roadway and apparently rolled several times.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle and seriously injured. They were transferred to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, where they both eventually passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.

Names of the victims, both from Fergus Falls, have not been released. The crash is still under investigation.
