Perham police investigate three recent burglaries

Perham police are investigating three separate burglaries that have occurred over the past three weeks.

Perham Police Chief Jason Hoaby said burglaries were reported Sept. 1, 2 and 11 at three different locations around town: Jean’s the Right Plant Place, Ma’s Little Red Barn and Lakeland Apartments.

In all cases, there were signs of forced entry into the buildings. The thief or thieves broke in at some point overnight and stole undisclosed amounts of cash.

The suspects from one of the burglaries were caught on video, Hoaby said. He would not comment on whether the three cases might be related.

Hoaby advised any concerned business owners to take reasonable precautions against theft, such as “locking up, checking the business before locking up and securing money in a safe or off-premises.”

Anyone with tips or other information related to the burglaries may contact the Perham Police Department at 346-4452.
