911 transcripts indicate panic in Cox household following murder-suicide
Recently released 911 transcripts show Dylan Cox was gasping for air after he shot his 16-year-old girlfriend and turned the gun on himself at his home near Amor on the evening of March 21.
Records show the call was made at 9:08 p.m. from 30811 Twin Lakes Road by Cox's mother, who indicated that her son had a gunshot wound to the temple and had a gun in his hand. She initially said her son was dead, but later indicated that he was still breathing.
Transcripts show that Tabitha Belmonte, Cox's girlfriend and mother of their 7-month-old child, was already dead from a gunshot wound.
Cox's father, who later got on the phone, said his wife was holding his son's baby, Emma, when the gunshots went off in the home's loft.
Cox's father said during the call that the couple had been arguing prior to the incident.
