1:26 a.m. Identified a group of people in a vehicle behind the high school. They were looking for a place to play basketball.
1:06 p.m. Took a report of an erratic driver on Highway 10. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
7:31 p.m. Cited a motorist for speeding.
7:37 p.m. Took a report from a resident who believed friends were making unwanted visits to his residence while he was absent.
8:39 a.m. Assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in their car.
9:09 p.m. Took a report of someone setting off fireworks. The remaining fireworks were seized and the matter was resolved without charges.
6:14 p.m. Took a report of an injured goose in the traffic lane on Highway 10 near the onramp. The goose was dead upon officer arrival and was removed from the roadway.
10:41 p.m. Took a report of a Great Horned Owl stuck in the grill of an SUV. The officer removed the bird and it flew away.
11:15 p.m. Warned a motorist for speeding.
11:23 p.m. Warned a motorist for inattentive driving.
11:27 a.m. Conducted a funeral escort.
2:09 p.m. Took a report from a resident about their neighbor's cat being loose in their yard. The matter was resolved amiably.
3:04 p.m. Took multiple reports of five cows running loose through the south part of town. The cows were located by city staff and were herded home with the assistance of the owner. No injuries or property damage were reported.
3:40 p.m. Took a report from a motorist whose car was struck by a cigarette butt thrown from another vehicle. The incident occurred on July 12 and license plate provided was not on file.
5:55 p.m. Checked the welfare of a pedestrian on Highway 10.
10:59 p.m. Warned a motorist for failure to yield.
11:50 p.m. Assisted in a civil matter involving the possession of a motor vehicle.
9:49 a.m. Warned a motorist for speeding.
12:17 p.m. Cited a motorist for speeding.
1:56 a.m. Found an open door at a local business. The building was searched and found to be clear. The door was secured and the management was notified.
7:59 a.m. Took a report of vandalism at a local apartment complex.
11:09 a.m. Warned a motorist for speeding.
6:18 p.m. Provided a homeless person some contact information for interim shelter.
2:03 a.m. Took a report of a person being harassed.
11:10 a.m. Provided the city a list of eight residences in violation of city ordinance for long grass.
