Dent man nabbed after hit-and-run
A 35-year-old Dent man has been apprehended and arrested after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident in which another man was hurt.
Christopher McIlvain was arrested on June 30, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with criminal vehicular operation and DWI.
Injured in the two-vehicle crash was John Keil, Jr., age 77, also of Dent. The accident took place June 30 near the intersection of Highway 35 and 360th Street, southwest of Dent, near Dead Lake. Keil’s injuries were not life-threatening. He was taken to Perham Health.
Sheriff’s deputies later located McIlvain at his residence, where an arrest was made. He was taken to the county detention center in Fergus Falls.
