Frazee man sentenced for Craigslist truck sale scam
Blake Andrew Sundvor, also known as Blake Mastin, 34, of Frazee, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court on a misdemeanor charge of failing to deliver a motor vehicle title. A felony charge of providing false information in a motor vehicle title and a gross misdemeanor charge of motor vehicle excise tax fraud were dismissed.
At the time of purchase, he allegedly used a fabricated dealer license number to save $247 in sales tax, and also saved money by not having to apply for a new title before re-selling the truck to the couple.
To date, the couple has not been able to secure legal title to the truck.
On Feb. 13 Sundvor appeared before District Judge Jay Carlson, who ordered him to serve 40 days in jail, stayed one year, and fined him $400 plus $732 in court fees. He was ordered to pay restitution, and was placed on unsupervised probation for one year.
