Rash of vandalism hits south Fargo

FARGO -- Officers estimated that 16 vehicles were damaged in a rash of vandalism Sunday morning, Fargo Police Sgt. Mike Mitchell said.

Most of the damage was in the form of broken windows, and Mitchell said that many of those appeared to have been broken with pieces of a busted up toilet. A toilet seat was found inside one of the vandalized vehicles while a piece of concrete was found in another, Mitchell said.

A number of the reports of damage happened on or near 32nd Street in South Fargo.

The first of the reports of the vandalism came in at 2:24 a.m., and the last came in as late as 9:30 a.m., Mitchell said.

No arrests have been made, and there are no suspects. Anyone with vandalism damage to their vehicle is encouraged to call the Fargo Police at (701) 235-4493.
