Perham police officers responded to 26 calls from May 18 to May 24.
May 18, 4:00 a.m. A pickup truck crashed into some parked vehicles in southeast Perham. The owner of the vehicle involved in the accident reported that his truck had been stolen. The owner, a 29-year-old New York Mills man, was issued a citation for No Insurance on a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle. Police are still looking for suspects in the theft of the vehicle.
May 18, 9:00 a.m. Spoke with a boy who didn't want to go to school that morning. Received a report later on in the day that the same juvenile made verbal threats toward his father.
May 19, 12:33 a.m. Stopped a vehicle where the driver was wanted on a warrant. The driver, a 20-year-old Perham woman, was arrested and transported to the Otter Tail County Detention Facility.
May 20, 10:45 a.m. Investigated an incident where a 10-year-old boy was overheard threatening to bring a gun or a bomb to the elementary school.
May 21, 10:00 p.m. A wild cat bit a 9-year-old girl. The girl was brought to the hospital for medical assistance and the cat was brought to the veterinary clinic to be tested for rabies.
May 21, 10:30 p.m. Assisted the New York Mills Police Department in looking for a burglary suspect.
May 21, 11:00 p.m. Three juvenile boys were caught stealing range balls at the golf course.
May 22, 9:39 a.m. Blocked traffic for the fire department on the 600 block of 1st Avenue North where a power pole broke off in the high winds. It was determined that it was a power line without any current, the line was moved off the roadway, and barricades were placed around the area so traffic could resume normal flow.
May 22, 1:30 p.m. Assisted the fire department with a structure fire at Roger's Repair in Perham. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control before any major structural damage occurred.
May 23, 4:30 p.m. Received a call about loud music and people dancing outside on their lawn. An officer spoke with the individuals and learned that they were celebrating a birthday party and getting a new job.
May 23, 5:25 p.m. Assisted State Patrol and Perham Emergency Medical Services with a one-vehicle rollover accident on Highway 10.
May 24, 3:12 p.m. Blocked traffic at the intersection of Highway 108 and 410th Avenue while the fire department took care of a car that had caught on fire.
