Perham police report

The Perham Police Department responded to 29 calls from Jan. 11 to Jan.17.

Jan. 11

Police fingerprinted a party for employment.

The county attorney sent a pickup order for a probation violation.

A man was arrested on an Otter Tail County warrant for probation violation.

Party reported their car will be left in a parking lot overnight. Party told police the car wouldn't start and they would get it out in the morning.

Party requested a welfare check.

Jan. 12

Dispatch reported a wrong way driver on Highway 10 travelling east in the westbound lane. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

Party reported a vehicle that didn't stop in a school area. The vehicle plates were not on file when police ran them.

Jan. 13

Police assisted Perham EMS with an elderly male that was found in the snow. He was transported to Perham Memorial Hospital.

Male party picked up a dog that was in the middle of the street. Police transported the small, black and white dog to a veterinary clinic.

Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 1st Avenue South and Third Street.

Police were called to assist on checking on an elderly woman who fell down and couldn't get up. She was later transported to Perham Memorial Hospital.

Police took a report of a male chasing a female across Second Street SE into an apartment building.

Jan. 14

Police assisted a citizen in answering questions about suspected harassment. The party later told police everything was fine and no further action was taken.

A caller reported a car pulling to the side of the road on Highway 78 south of Perham. The driver appeared to be slumped over. When police arrived the car was being jump started and there were no medical problems.

A citizen reported trailers parked on a resident-only parking area.

An individual brought a found Minnesota license plate. Police contacted the owner who picked it up.

Police assisted State Patrol with a report of a TV in the middle of Highway 10.

Police received a report of juveniles loitering behind a local business. Police were unable to find them.

A female called and reported she and her boyfriend were arguing.

Jan. 15

A caller reported there was a dog in a vehicle parked on a city street. Police located the vehicle and owner of the dog.

Police stopped a vehicle for fishtailing, and crossing the center line and fog line. The driver was arrested for DWI.

Jan. 17

Police stopped a vehicle whose owner was known to have a suspended license. The driver was cited for driving after suspension and no insurance.

Police did a welfare check at Perham Memorial Hospital.
