Fargo man arrested after car goes airborne, crashes into fence
A Fargo man was arrested for driving under the influence after he crashed a rental car into a metal fence early this morning in south Fargo.
According to Fargo police Sgt. Mark Lykken:
Allex Eubanks, 33, was traveling west on Fifth Avenue South just before 12:30 a.m., when he struck the center median and then a snow bank on the south side of Fiechtner Drive.
Eubanks' vehicle went airborne and hit a metal fence at S&S Landscaping.
When authorities arrived on scene, Eubanks was breathing but unconscious. He was transported to Essentia Hospital by ambulance.
A hospital spokeswoman said he is listed in stable condition.
Fargo police arrested Eubanks for DUI and cited him for failure to have a vehicle under control.
Eubanks' rental car, a 2008 Pontiac, suffered an estimated $8,000 in damage.
About 20 feet of fencing at S&S Landscaping was destroyed, but no damage estimate was available on the crash report.
