Man crashes, tries to steal pickup near Parkers Prairie

An Eagle Bend man was arrested July 13 after an accident and attempted theft of a pickup truck.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 46 and 140th Street, east of Parkers Prairie, at 2:04 a.m.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department reported that a vehicle driven by Bradley Warzecha, 21, was traveling westbound when it hit an embankment and rolled several times, landing on all four wheels.

Warzecha, who had been alone in the vehicle, then walked to a nearby residence and attempted to take a pickup, but the owner stopped him from doing so.

The suspect was later arrested for DWI and was transported to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, where he was treated for injuries sustained in the rollover.

Assisting the sheriff's department were the Eagle Bend Police Department, Todd County Sheriff's Department and Parkers Prairie Police Department.
