Predatory offender appears in court

Jeremy Tyler Dempewolf, 23, of Fergus Falls, appeared in Otter Tail County District Court on May 17 for allegedly knowingly failing to give written notice of his new residence to a corrections agent.

As a predatory offender, he was also was cited for failure to register with the law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction in the area where he works. The charges add up to a felony case.

On Jan. 13, 2013, it was discovered that Dempewolf’s ankle bracelet had been tampered with. Authorities later found a cut ankle bracelet on a chair and inside a house in Fergus Falls.

Dempewolf is currently at the Minnesota Corrections Facility at Lino, north of the Twin Cities.

His next court appearance is scheduled for May 28.
