The Perham FFA chapter visited Louisville, Ky. from Oct. 29 through Nov. 3 to participate in the FFA National Convention, along with nearly 63,000 members from across the nation.

Perham students were able to hear guest speakers ranging from Rick Pitino, coach of the University of Louisville basketball team, to Josh Sundquist, a member of the U.S. Paralympic Ski Team.

Kids were exposed to careers, colleges, and agri-science fair exhibits in the Kentucky Exposition Center.

They got to hike three miles of Mammoth Cave, the longest cave in the world, for a team building activity.

They also attended a concert by Dierks Bentley and Jana Kramer, and toured Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger Factory.

The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth, and career success training through agricultural education to 557,318 student members who belong to one of 7,498 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
