What could be cut without tax levy?

What will happen if the Perham school levy does not pass at the polls Nov. 3?

Printed here are a few of the scenarios, outlined by Superintendent Tamara Uselman.

•School will reduce to three-day kindergarten and fee-based beyond three days.

•Class size in high school of 40; middle school, mid to high 30's; elementary school 28 to 32.

•Reduce course offerings at high school.

•Reduce core class teachers; elementary and middle school technology; k-6 phy ed; world language options; business education; high school speech; industrial tech; agriculture ed; orchestra.

•Reduce administrative.

•Eliminate college courses, advanced placement courses.

•Cut bus rides and institute fees for riders closer than two miles.

•Cut extracurricular activities: JH baseball coach, JH boys basketball coach, One Act Play, Mock Trial, Class Advisors (prom, etc.), Knowledge Bowl, JH boys & girls golf, JH baseball, JH softball, JH girls tennis, boys tennis, Science Research, Renaissance, etc.

•Go to a four-day school week.

•Reductions in cleaning.

•Reduce/eliminate all assistants (para-professionals) except those mandated by federal legal requirements.

•Reduce food service to a single kitchen.

•Increase activity fees to cover entire cost of activity for each student.

•Require additional charges for transportation to activities.
