Tornado drills scheduled today in Minnesota

It's Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota, and there will be a statewide tornado drill today (April 20, 2017).

The National Weather Service will issue a simulated tornado warning for Minnesota counties - at 1:45 p.m. today. Most cities and counties will activate outdoor warning sirens at that time.

A second tornado drill is scheduled for Minnesota at 6:45 p.m. today; again, most cities and counties will activate tornado sirens at that time. The second drill is targeted for people who are at home after working or being in school during the earlier drill, and for people working during the evening.
