Rural Perham murder: Pipe wrench reportedly used in brutal killing of mother, son

Driver overcorrects, ends up injured in wrong lane of Highway 10

A Staples man sustained injuries after overcorrecting while travelling west on Highway 10. The overcorrection caused him to roll his 2006 Dodge Durango into the median of Highway 10, and he eventually came to a rest on the roof of his vehicle in the eastbound lane of the highway.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. while the roads were still wet from a passing thunderstorm.

The driver, Robert James Sero, 27, was transported to Lake Wood Health in Staples with non-life threatening injuries.

According to reports, it’s unknown if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but alcohol was ruled out as a factor.
