Additional 4-H funding for gardener post okayed
County commissioners voted to to approve an agreement between the University of Minnesota and Otter Tail County to support an additional 4-H Program Coordinator position and a .2 full-time equivalent master gardener position.
The resolution came from Commissioner Doug Huebsch of Perham and was seconded by Commissioner John Lindquist of Dalton.
AIS funding requests approved
Approved by county commissioners were two motions related to the fight against Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS).
The first approval was for an increase in the AIS prevention marketing budget from $35,000 to $50,000.
The first motion is subject to exploration of marketing the AIS prevention message in various social media venues in coordination with recommendations of External Communications Director Nick Leonard.
The second approval related to the I-LID sensor upgrade at county lake public accesses in the amount of $3,575.
