Jonah Kletsch and Jacob Schiltgen are students in the machine tool program at Alexandria Technical College. Kletsch said he wanted to represent his program at career day because “a lot of people don’t know about it.” Schiltgen said he wanted to help enhance the program, which he enjoys because it is so hands-on.

Based on that amount, an average homeowner’s property tax paid toward the district in 2014 would have been about $306. With the proposed 2015 rate that same homeowner will pay $444.95 toward the school – an increase of about $12 per month.
