Swimming: Divers excel in loss to Morris

Natalie Murphy was a part of three first-place swims at Morris.

MORRIS — The Morris Area/Minnewaska/Chokio-Alberta/Benson girls swim team defeated the Yellowjackets Monday by the score of 100- 85.

Both Perham divers had quality showings finishing first and second. Hannah Brady bested her own school record by scoring over 200 points for the first time. Sierra Lynne had a personal best 186 points.

Finnja Becker and Anna Dale took the top two spots in the 200 freestyle. Becker added a first place finish in the 100 backstroke.

Dale placed first in the 500 freestyle.

Natalie Murphy and Jackie Hanson were the top finishers in the 100 freestyle and the pair teamed up with Becker and Heidi Weber for first place in the Medley relay.

The 400 freestyle relay team of Becker, Dale, Murphy and Megan Tellinghuisen placed first.

Murphy added another top finish winning the 50-freestyle.

Kristina Galbrecht was third in the backstroke.
