Minten, Hanson lead the way in week two

The Perham Hot Shots Trap and Skeet Shooting teams continued its season with their second week of practice at the Fort Thunder Shooting Center in Perham.

Kyle Hanson was the top trap shooter for the week, finishing with a total of 44 targets hit. He had rounds of 21 and 23, earning his 44 targets hit.

Hayden Kjelshus finished strong with a 43. He hit 22 in his opening round and finished it off with 21 targets hit in the second round.

Caleb Clark and Riley Doll finished with 42 targets hit each. Clark hit 18 in the first round and improved to hit 24 of 25 targets. Doll hit 19 targets in the opening round and followed up with 23 in the second round. Tanner Rastedt hit 42 targets as well. He recorded an opening round of 19 targets hit, before finishing with 23 targets hit in the second round.

Audrey Swanson and Wesley Vroman connected on 41 targets each. Swanson hit 19 in the first round, before rattling off 22 targets in her second round. Vroman hit 21 in the first, before knocking off 20 targets in his second round of shooting.

Colby Vroman finished with 40 targets hit. Vroman was consistent hitting 20 targets in each round.

William Minten capped off a strong week in the trap shooting competition. He led the way with 47 targets hit. He hit 23 in the first round and improved by one in the second round with 24 targets hit.

Lane Masteller hit 23 targets in the opening round, before hitting 21 in the second, ending the week with 44 targets. Jayden Spilde and Wesley Vroman connected on 40 targets each. Spilde hit 23 targets in the opening round, before hitting 17 in the second round. Vroman hit 20 in each of his two rounds.

 Groth is a Minnesota Newspaper Association award-winning Sports Editor of the Perham Focus and the Wadena Pioneer Journal. Groth worked in Grand Rapids as the Sports Director at KOZY/KMFY radio for two years and prior to that he was the Sports Editor/Writer for the Grand Rapids Herald-Review for seven years.
