NYM Volleyball: No. 7-A Bertha-Hewitt takes down Eagles

New York Mills had a rough night Thursday at the Sports Center in a 3-0 loss to No. 7-A Bertha-Hewitt (25-6, 25-11, 25-5).

The Lady Eagles had trouble getting into their offense with the strong play at the net from B-H. The Eagles finished with nine kills led by Alicia Boe with five. Lauren Rud finished with eight set assists.

The Bears (9-0, 2-0 Park Region) finished one-game ahead of NY Mills last season as the Park Region Conference runner-up behind Sebeka. B-H has now won 13-straight over the Eagles going back to 2002.

Mills (5-4-1, 1-1 Park Region) will remain at home against Battle Lake on Sept. 21. On Sept. 24, the Eagles go on the road to face Verndale for the second time this season.
