PHS Girls Basketball: Perham continues streak with win atBreckenridge

Even without point guard Steph Miller running the show, the Yellowjacket girls basketball team showed no signs of slowing down Thursday night with a 60-38 win at Breckenridge.

Miller, a junior, missed the game because of concussion-like symptoms. Fellow junior Kaylan Huber was more than able at the point for Perham and finished with nine points, six steals and three assists while committing just one turnover.

Without Miller, Perham still finished with 16 assists with Huber, Katrina Moenkedick and Becky Stoll handing out three each, and 16 steals as a team.

After holding on to a seven point lead at halftime, Perham outscored the Cowgirls 32-17 in the second half for their seventh straight win against Breckenridge.

Katrina Moenkedick (13) and older sister Elisa (11) led Perham in scoring.

The Jackets regular season HOL winning streak is now at 26 games.

The Lady Jackets will return to Prairie Wind Gymnasium on Dec. 14 when they host D-G-F. The Rebels handed Perham their last loss to a HOL team in the 2008 playoffs.

Perham's last regular season HOL loss came Feb. 5, 2008 against Hawley, who they will host on Dec. 18.
