PHS Wrestling: Perham takes down W-DC

The Yellowjacket wrestling team picked up a big dual meet win Thursday night at Wadena-Deer Creek, coming out on top, 54-21.

Perham took an early lead in the match, winning three of the first four matches with two pins and a tech fall by No. 2 ranked Sam Warne at 125 pounds. But the Wolverines won the next three matches to take a 21-17 lead.

The Jackets would withstand the W-DC run, and would turn the match around with a 14-5 win by Taylor Doll at 145 pounds. From there, Perham would win the rest of the matches, including pins by their three big boys, Chris Scheidecker, Ben Brill and Jon Langlie, to end the match.
