Mills will remained at home Tuesday night for a dual against Park Rapids. The Eagles built an early lead then won with a forfeit in the final match to puul out a 39-36 win.

Mills won three of the first five matches by fall with pins by Shane Novak, Selander and Maison Roberts. Back-to-back wins by Jordan Novak and Peter Stark put Mills up 27-21.

But Park Rapids would win the nest three to regain a 36-27 lead.

Knowing a forfeit was coming at heavyweight, the key match came at 215 pounds, where Norton picked up a pin in 2:33. That closed the Panther lead to three, making the forfeit the difference in Mills 39-36 win.

"We put the match in the hands of our younger wrestlers and they delivered," Niemi said. "That is what we needed to come out with a win."

Big Bear up next

The Eagles will compete in the Big Bear Tournament in Cass Lake this weekend.

On Dec. 22, Mills will host Parkers Prairie and Pelican Rapids in a triangular at the Sports Center starting at 5 p.m.
