Count It! Basketball Camp July 28-30

The Count It! Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball Team Camps will be held in Cass Lake and Bena on Wednesday through Friday, July 28-30.

The team camps, formerly called the Panther Hoops Team Camps for the past several years, feature 42 boys and girls teams who play in 256 round robin 20 minute running time contests in three days on 10 different courts.

A large number of the top programs in the state will be represented at the team camps. "The teams come from far and near for the last few days of summer basketball," said event director Dan Ninham. "We expect over 1000 people coming to Cass Lake as either players, team camp coaches, spectators, officials, and college recruiters," added Ninham. "Although I'm not coaching the Panthers, I still plan to bring top quality future events to Cass Lake and the area with established team camps, all star games and coaching clinics. We look forward to showcasing the Cass Lake and Bena communities as great hosts of this big time event."

General admission is $5 per day with limited seating and concessions will be available.

Games are played throughout each day. The Girls Team Camp afternoon sessions on Thursday, July 29 will be held at the Bena Community Center and Bugonaygeshig School in Bena. All other games will be held at Cass Lake-Bena High School and Middle School and the old Cass Lake High School.
