Head Coach Kathy Pesch, in her fourth year, has a young but hard-working tennis team.

Ideal weather conditions have made for good practice time on the courts, quite unlike the end to last year's season.

Early blizzards forced the team off the court in the midst of playoffs and the lay-off showed in a 7-0 defeat to number two-seeded Crookston in the first round of Section 8A playoffs.

According to Pesch, players to watch are Suzanne Coleman, Hannah Brenk, Chelsea Honer, Ashley Silbernagel, and MaryAnn Kuebler.

Assisting in coaching duties are Kassie Pesch and Chelsea Marthaler.

Perham got their season underway at Detroit Lakes Thursday, August 26, suffering a 6-1 setback to open up play.

Kuebler and Paige Biegler combined at number two doubles for the only victory for Perham. The duo beat Emily Seebold and India Fritz 6-2, 7-5.
