NY Mills volleyball banquet held

Head Coach Amy Koskela brought a close to the Eagles volleyball season in New York Mills in an end of season banquet last week.

"Thanks again to all of the parents, players and managers for all your hard work and dedication throughout the season," Koskela said. "It was greatly appreciated."

Senior Megan Cole was named to the all-conference team.

The following awards were given out:

Serving percentage - Savannah Leiran with 97 percent; kills - Jackie Imsande with 68 at 25 percent of her overall hitting; hitting percentage - Megan Cole with 81 percent and over 200 attempts; passing - Brooke Kupfer with 83 percent on serve receive and 70 digs; blocking - Jackie Imsande with 58 solo and 62 assists for 81 percent; assists - Lexie Rankka with 125 with 96 percent setting.

Team awards: Sponge (most improved) - Autumn Roberts on varsity and Shelby Steinbach on the junior varsity.

Black and Blue (hustle) - Brooke Kupfer on varsity and Mari Schornack on the junior varsity.

Team Cheerleader (spirit) - Jackie Imsande on varsity and Abbe Hendrickx on junior varsity.

Ace (MVP) - Megan Cole on varsity and Savannah Leiran on the junior varsity.

Brownie (Eagle) - Megan Cole on varsity and Mari Schornack on the junior varsity.
