Perham summer volleyball camp June 16-17

Perham Volleyball is proud to present another fantastic opportunity for Perham area volleyball players to improve their skills by attending Perham's ninth Annual Summer Volleyball Camp.

This summer's camp features the University of North Dakota's assistant volleyball coach Dan Brown. The camp will be held at the Perham Area Community Center and will be open to area girls entering grades five through 12.

Cost of the camp is $75 (Perham athletes pay only $50).

Dan Brown completed his first season as Assistant Coach for the University of North Dakota.

UND finished with a 25-5 record and repeated as Great West Conference regular season and tournament champions.

Along with his coaching duties Brown is the recruiting coordinator and camp director for UND.

In 2009, Brown was the volunteer assistant coach for Final Four Finalist University of Minnesota volleyball program.

Prior to UND, Brown worked with Minnesota One Volleyball Club since 1997.

From 2002 through 2009 Brown worked as the 15-1s head coach and youth age director, also serving as M1's camp and lesson coordinator.

His coaching experience at M1 also includes, head coach for the 18-2s 2000-2001, 17-2s 1999-2000 and assistant coach for the 16-1s 1998-1999. He also has a great deal of experience in high school volleyball circles.

Brown was the head coach for Bloomington Jefferson High School from 2003-2005 and an assistant in 2002. Brown was the Nike camp coordinator in 2010 and the lead camp instructor at Woodbury High School (2004-2007), Shakopee Area Catholic School (2006- 2007) and Anoka High School (2003-2007).

The registration deadline is June 1. To register, complete registration form and send with check made out to Perham Volleyball to: Dan Christenson, PWMS, 480 Coney St., Perham, MN 56573.

Include name, grade, parents or guardian's name, address, phone number, email size and one of the following T-shirt sizes: XS, S, M, L, (all adult sizes).

The camp schedule for grades 9-12 is Mon., June 16 9 a.m. to noon and Tues., June 17 from 9 a.m. to non. Grades 5-8 are scheduled for Mon. June 21 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Tues., June 22 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
