Jacket girls track seventh at Daggett Invite, Eagles 12th

Abby Nygaard threw the shot 31-feet, 2-inches for a fourth place finish, along with teammate Britney Lockhart.

The Perham girls track team took seventh place and New York Mills finished 12th in rotten weather, at Frazee's Daggett Invitational.

The two schools combined to put three runners in the top five of the 1600m run. NY Mills' Mariah Novak finished second in 5:47.91; Perham's Mary Reistenberg was fourth at 6:00.33 and the Eagles' Brooke Hendrickx was right behind in fifth with a time of 6:02.02.

In the 800m run, Perham's Racole Karels was fourth in a time of 2:43.76. Ellie Bachman of Frazee won the event in 2:31.70.

Perham's Bailey Meyer was the only event winner from either schol and both boys and girls teams. She won the discus with a throw of 100-feet, 8.5-inches. Amber Kalina was fifth at 88-6.5 and Emily Roggenkamp was the top Eagle in ninth throwing 71-03.

Britney Lockhart and Abby Nygaard, both from Perham both threw 31-02 in the shot put to lock up fourth place.

Miranda Lockhart continued her top finishes for the Jackets in the high jump. She cleared four-foot, ten-inches for a runner up finish.
