The Yellow Jackets 8th Grade football team finished their season last Tuesday night with a loss to the Frazee Hornets.

This gave the young Jackets a final record of 4-2-1 on the season.

During the season the Jackets focused on the fundamentals of football, teamwork, and playing with Yellow Jacket Pride.

These athletes worked hard in practice and games and continually showed improvement in each and every game.

The coaches believe that this team will continue the strong tradition of Yellow Jacket Football.

This group of athletes worked together very well as a team and improved their play every week.

Some of the highlights of the year were: the defense had three games in which they shut out the opponents; connecting on three long halfback pass plays; practicing with the varsity and learning some new drills; and scoring 24 points against Park Rapids.

Coach Kostynick and Coach Rach would like to thank the athletes for their hard work, the parents for all their support throughout the season, all of the people who helped out throughout the season, and all of the other football coaches for making this season a success.
