M State welcomes high school athletes on Super Saturday

FERGUS FALLS -- Area high school athletes are invited to a Super Saturday for sports on the Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College on Feb. 18.

Athletes and their parents are invited to check out the campus and meet with staff to learn about Spartan athletics and M State during the day. The Spartans compete in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference in eight sports: football, volleyball, mens and womens basketball, baseball and mens and womens golf.

Super Saturday begins for recruits at 11 a.m. in the college's Legacy Hall. Athletes will have the opportunity to tour the campus, check out housing options, visit with admissions staff, learn about Spartan athletics and enjoy pizza with other recruits and current Spartans.

Recruits are invited to stay and watch the Spartan basketball teams in action against Riverland Community College, with the women's game at 1 p.m. and the men's game at 3 p.m. in the newly remodeled M State gymnasium. Spartan fans are encouraged to "Color the Gym Pink" with pink attire, and donations will be collected during the games for cancer research.
