Boys Basketball: Hornets hang with Perham in second half but fall 56-45 to #5-Jackets

Perham improved to 18-2 after a Thursday night victory over Frazee 56-45. Both clubs played a relatively even second half, but a 31-19 first half advantage for Perham was enough to hold off the Hornets.

Jordan Bruhn had a unique double-double of 14 assists and 11 rebounds. He scored four points.

Mark Schumacher led Perham with 13 points. Mike Wiskow had 11 and Josh Nordick continued to up his scoring pace with 10 points.

Frazee's big man Daniel Janu led all scoreres with 18 points.

Perham outrebounded Frazee 30-19, including 10-4 on the offensive end.

The Jackets continued their free throw line struggles shooing only 8-21 from the line (38 percent).

The Jackets travel to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Friday, Feb. 17 to take on the Rebels in Heart O' Lakes Conference action. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Perham remains tied with No. 4-ranked Pelican Rapids at 9-1 atop the Heart O' Lakes Conference standings.

Pelican Rapids will travel to Breckenridge and host Barnesville in their final two HOL games.

Perham will also host Barnesville in their final HOL game.
