8AA Playoff Softball: Rebels eliminate Perham in first round

GLYNDON -- Perham's softball season came to a quite end on the road in a 5-0 Class 2A, Section 8 opening playoff round loss to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.

The Rebels' Makenzie Dukleth pitched a two-hitter and struck out 15 Yellowjackets, while Caitlin Schroeder batted 3-for-3 with an RBI to pace the Rebels.

Perham senior Ashley Silbernagel took the loss, allowing the five runs on eight hits and one Perham error.

Dukleth improved her record to 14-1. The No. 3-seeded Rebels are 18-2 and will face No. 2 Detroit Lakes in Frazee Thursday, May 24.

Perham was seeded No. 6,

The Yellowjackets ended their season on a four-game skid and had lost nine of their final 12 games to end the year with an 8-12 record.

The Rebels have won nine straight games dating back to a 7-6 loss at Hawley April 30.
