DENT -- The Perham Yellowjackets will face Breckenridge in the first round of baseball playoffs Thursday, in Perham, at 5 p.m. One thing Perham has going in its favor is solid starting pitching.

Jesse Hein, Eric Brauch and Chris Ruther all present viable options for wins on the mound.

Ruther showcased his viability in the second to last regular season game pitching a mercy-rule shortened five-inning no-hitter against Pelican Rapids in Dent.

Ruther fanned six and walked none in the victory.

Two late Perham errors spoiled a perfect game.

Perham scored all ten runs in the first three innings, including a six-run second that put the game out of reach quickly.

Brauch led the way at the plate going 2-3, with a double and three RBI. Ivan Nodsle had a double and knocked in two runs. Jack Stigman was 2 for 2, scoring twice with one RBI.
