PERHAM -- Right fielder Beau Bruhn hit a walk-off, two RBI, line drive to the left field gap to lead the Perham Pirates to a comeback 3-2 victory over the New York Mills Millers Wednesday evening.

Millers' pitcher Josh Hendrickx threw a 2-2 heater at the level of Bruhn's eyeballs on what would have been the third ball of the sequence.

Down 2-1 on the scoreboard with two men on base, Bruhn took a big hack at the ball and sent it well out of reach of Jeff Hamann and Jason Burg in left and center field. Bruhn's hit scored Tyler Doll from third base to tie the game and Brad Ellingson from second for the game-winner.

Doll almost ran the Pirates out of the game on the prior play.

Jesse Hein lofted a fly ball to deep right center with Doll on second and Ellingson on first. Doll raced to third base and was forced to sprint back to the bag at second to beat the throw from the outfield after Hein's ball was caught for out number two.

Doll stole third base on the next pitch. Ellingson stole second a pitch later setting up both runners in scoring position for Bruhn.

Ellingson scored twice in the game. He gave Perham a 1-0 lead in the first inning by reaching on a fielder's choice, stealing second and scoring on a two-out base hit by Hein.

Doll pitched 5.1 innings and held the one-nil lead into the sixth before New York Mills rallied to take the lead and chase Doll from the mound.

Tristan Huwe led off the inning with a walk. Jake Brockpahler moved Huwe to second with an infield single to shortstop. A throwing error on Perham shortstop Chris Ruther allowed Huwe to advance to third putting runners on the corners with none out.

Wet conditions in the infield slowed many ground balls over the course of the game, which was shortened to seven innings due to a one-hour rain delay.

Brockpahler would have beaten Ruther's throw had it been to the bag.

Two consecutive pitches from Doll got past Ellingson at the plate scoring Huwe from third and moving Brockpahler from first to third base.

Brockpahler scored to give New York Mills a 2-1 lead on a RBI single by Jeff Hamann.

Jonnie Schmitz came on in relief of Doll and walked Drew Schultz and Tyler Patron before striking out Burg and Anthony Hinson to end the threat.

Jack Stigman and Taylor Doll reached to put the tying run on second base in the home half of the sixth, but Hendrickx worked out of the jam inducing a fly to right from Ruther and a come backer to the mound by Schmitz to end the inning.

Schmitz sent the Millers down in order in the top of the seventh leading to the Pirate comeback to end the game.

Schmitz earned the victory in relief.

Doll struck out nine Millers, walked three, allowed only three hits and gave up two runs, one earned in a no-decision.

Hendrickx took the loss pitching a complete game seven innings, allowing seven hits, three runs, one earned. He walked four and fanned one.

Bruhn led all hitters going 2-4 with two RBI.

Doll was 2-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.

Ellingson scored twice and nabbed two bags.

Hein was 1-3 with one RBI.

Brockpahler led the Millers going 2-4, scoring once.

Hamann was 1-2 with the lone Millers' RBI.

Tyler Patron reached safely twice via base on balls.

The bottom five in the Millers' lineup combined to go 0-12.
