Hendrickson, Hardin net CFPA national weekly honors

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Senior Marcus Hendrickson (Perham, Minn.) and junior Greg Hardin (Bellevue, Neb.) teamed together for a big offensive night versus Portland State on Saturday and now the duo was recognized by College Football Performance for those efforts.

Hendrickson was named the National Performer of the Week along with earning the organization's National Quarterback Performer of the Week accolade. He is the first UND player in program history to earn those national honors, while Hardin was named the Wide Receiver Performer of the Week.

Hendrickson had a memorable first career start, completing 16 of 25 passes for 294 and a school-record tying six touchdown passes in the 45-37 victory over the Vikings in the Potato Bowl USA game. Half of those touchdown passes wound up in the hands of Hardin, who had six grabs for a career-high 190 yards.

Hardin's three-touchdown performance was the second of his career. His 190-yard effort coupled with his 103 receiving yards he netted in the season opener marked the first time he registered back-to-back 100-yard games. He currently leads the FCS with 146.5 yards receiving per game.

Junior placekicker Zeb Miller (Ankeny, Iowa) was an honorable mention honoree for the Placekicker Performer of the Week award after he converted a 50-yard field goal and made all six of his extra points.

UND will travel to San Diego State next Saturday to take on the FBS Aztecs at Qualcomm Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:05 p.m. CT.
