Thursday's athletic events - weather announcements

Both districts have announced the tennis matches between New York Mills and Perham scheduled for today are canceled and will not be made up.

The two teams are next scheduled to face each other in the section pig-tail game on Monday, Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m. in Perham.

Today's Perham Invitational Cross Country meet will be run.

"I have actually coached in worse weather at this meet," Perham Head Coach Jeff Morris said.

The New York Mills Volleyball teams will be hosting a "Pink Out" for Breast Cancer awareness on Thursday, October 4 during their volleyball match against Sebeka.. The goal is to fill the gym with pink and raise money for Breast Cancer. This match will be played as scheduled.

Perham volleyball is scheduled to play at Pelican Rapids.

Girls swimming is scheduled to travel to Grand Rapids.

Schools to the north of the area have already canceled today's events. According to Derek Martin at the Crookston Times, all Crookston athletics today are cancelled. volleyball at EGF, girls soccer at Moorhead, girls swim at Fosston.
