Basketball: Three teams on the road at holiday tournaments

Three area basketball teams will hit the road Thursday for the annual holiday tournaments.

SEBEKA TOURNAMENT -- The New York Mills boys team (1-4) squares off against Sebeka (0-6) at 7:30 p.m. Wadena-Deer Creek (3-3) plays Northland (1-4) in the other half of the bracket. That game has a scheduled tip of 4:30 p.m.

WORTHINGTON TOURNAMENT -- The Perham boys (4-3) play Mankato West (4-2) at 6 p.m. in Worthington. Sibley East (3-2) takes on the host Trojans (3-2) in a 7:30 p.m. nightcap.

FERGUS FALLS TOURNAMENT -- Fergus Falls plays host to a pair of No. 1-ranked teams in Minnesota girls basketball. The Lady Jackets (0-8) have a tough match-up in the first round taking on the the hosts, No.1 Class 3A Fergus Falls (6-0) at 8 p.m. No.1-1A Mountain Iron-Buhl (9-0) and Breckenridge (5-3) play at 4 p.m.
