Two individuals, one relay team sent to Hamline Elite Meet

ST. PAUL — Three individuals and one relay team will represent Perham track at the Hamline Elite Meet Friday in St. Paul.

The 4x800m relay team of Billy Beseman, Dalton Dahms, Nick Carignan and Brady Speicher also qualified. The relay team is Perham's highest-ranked participant at Hamline with the third-fasted posted time, eight seconds off Bemidji, a team they just faced last week at the Beaver Relays.

Speicher will also run the 1600-meter, where he qualified 16th.

Keeghan Hurley will race in the 3200-meter from a 12th place qualfying position.

Hamline Elite Meet

When: FridayApril 26, 2013

Where: Klas Stadium, Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota

The Hamline Elite Meet features Minnesota’s top nine athletes and relays in the state competing head-to-head in each event. All races are finals except the 100m.

All high school track athletes are eligible to enter the meet. Coaches provide 2013 qualifying times or marks for their athletes. Athletes for the event are selected based on a limited field size with the top marks competing.
